How counselling can help

How counselling can help

I work at a pace that suits young people, building trust first. Sessions might involve talking, practical skills for managing stress and emotions, and working out what they’d like to change.

For Korean-Australian families, I understand the pressures that can come with balancing two cultures and family expectations.

What to expect

For parents and for teens

For parents: at the start, we’ll talk together about how sessions work, what stays confidential and when information would be shared, for example if there’s a risk to safety. Parents may be invited to some sessions.

For teens: this is your space. You don’t need to know what to say. We’ll figure it out together.

Kids Helpline (1800 55 1800) offers free, 24-hour counselling for young people aged 5 to 25. In an emergency, call 000.
